Wishful Thinking (2025) is the first in an ongoing large watercolor series that draws inspiration from Korean talismanic motifs. Layers of abstract shapes, asemic scripts, and symbolic forms interlace into a dense, architectural structure, suggesting both fragility and resilience. At once intricate and meditative, the work channels the traditional belief in drawing as a means of protection—against harm, misfortune, or unseen forces—while expanding it into a contemporary exploration of symbols, language, and desire.
